An HPA reads CPU from the main container while the injected sidecar consumes most of the real workload headroom during a failover rehearsal

The autoscaler sees one process and the pod's real bottleneck lives somewhere else. Normal traffic masked the issue until the standby or alternate path became active under rehearsal conditions.
