A systemd path unit watches the right directory while the application replaces it with a bind mount and the watch no longer sees real writes during a failover rehearsal

Automation stays armed on an object the application no longer uses directly. Normal traffic masked the issue until the standby or alternate path became active under rehearsal conditions.
