A restored RAID array looks healthy while the regenerated initramfs still lacks the md metadata mode expected by the current boot entry during a staged decommission

Storage is assembled after boot, yet the boot chain itself still expects a different assembly contract. The service still works through the primary path, but one dependency only fails when the old component is finally drained away.
