A resolver answers from cache while one DNS64 or split-horizon view changed only on the authoritative path and new clients fail immediately during a staged decommission

Warm clients look healthy, cold clients prove the design drifted. The service still works through the primary path, but one dependency only fails when the old component is finally drained away.
